About
Welcome to the Dover-Sherborn High School web site. This navigation-friendly site is designed to provide access to accurate and timely information, thereby improving communication among school, home and community.
Dover-Sherborn High School is part of a regional school district located in the town of Dover, about 15 miles west of Boston. Both the four-year high school and its companion three-year middle school draw students from the towns of Dover and Sherborn: small communities that still retain much of the fields and woodlands from the early settlement days of Massachusetts. Today a significant percentage of Dover and Sherborn residents are professionals who actively participate in local government, community organizations and school activities.
Students can choose from a wide variety of extra-curricular activities at Dover-Sherborn High School. Participation in both sports and our extra-curricular clubs is high.
We pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of academic options to our students. The curriculum is organized into the following departments:

More than 100 different courses are offered annually. The High School program balances core courses with exploratory courses and extracurricular activities. Please refer to the Program of Studies for an in depth look at the full range of course offerings at DSHS.
The communities of Dover and Sherborn are incredibly supportive of their schools. Parents are involved in their children's education and assist the faculty and administration in many positive ways. Parental involvement and attendance at school events is consistently high, whether as chaperones at school dances and trips, or as guests at activities and performances.
Another example of the community's generosity and support is the Dover-Sherborn Education Fund (DSEF). This private non-profit fundraising community organization has contributed over $2 million to our regional schools in the past twenty years . The Fund seeks to enhance arts, athletics and cultural enrichment as well as core academic curriculum. We at the Dover-Sherborn schools are very appreciative of the DSEF and believe that it contributes significantly to the education of the community's youth.
