REPORTING ILLNESSES |
All communicable diseases should be reported to your
child's Pediatrician and the school nurse. It is important
for the school nurse to be able to track infectious disease occurrences
throughout the school in order to better provide parents with information
about their prevalence and any needed precautions. The following are
examples of illnesses that should be reported, but by no means is this
list exhaustive: Chickenpox, Strep Throat, Pertussis (Whooping Cough),
Pinkeye (Conjunctivitis), and Fifth's Disease.
