Learning Objectives:

1.  Students will learn about what made Mesopotamia CIVILIZED.  Focus will be on GEOGRAPHY and POLITICS.

2.  Students will learn to use reading strategies (especially CONNECTIONS and ROADBLOCKS) to help them as they read texts.

3.  Students will transfer “important information” into a creative presentation.

4.  Students will practice collaborating with peers and reflect on their experience.

 

Skills: Indicators

  1. Reflect on learning and community progress.
  2. Identify and utilize a variety of reading strategies to determine the meaning and usefulness of a text.

3.   Cooperate with others to create a positive learning environment.

4.   Maintain an organized approach to learning: taking notes, completing homework
