What do you do at home?  - ¿Qué haces en tu casa?

 

Learning Objectives:

 

§2 Tell where you live.

§3 Describe your home.

§4 Name household chores.

§5 Discuss the importance of patios in Spain and casitas in NYC.

 

Skills:

 

§1   House-related vocabulary used to describe one’s home.

§2 Use of distance-related vocabulary, such as lejos de, cerca de to talk about the layout of your house.

§3 Discuss daily chores using tener+que+infinitivo.

§4 Describe the importance of community within Spanish-speaking countries and Hispanic communities here in the U.S.

§5 Using furniture vocabulary to talk about what one can find within your house.

§6 Using the verbs  poner & hacer to talk about what you and your family members do at home.

§7   Conjugate “ir” verbs correctly into the present tense – especially the verb vivir to talk about where people live.

§8 E to IE stem-changing verbs in the present tense.  Focus on the verb preferir.

§9   Using possessive adjectives mi, tu, su, nuestro, vuestro, su.
