Instructional Strategies & Activities:

  1. After examining and discussing the key roles involved in the production process, students will view a video on “the making of a musical”.  The video provides a behind the scenes look at the audition process, the rehearsal and blocking process, set design and construction, lighting design, costumes, tech rehearsals and ends with scenes from the opening night performance.
  2. Students will view a video of a musical to identify structural elements and song types.
