    Can I re-organize the given information in a problem in order to solve it?  (draw a diagram,   organize a chart, list the “knowns” and “unknowns”, define a variable or write a “let”statement)

   Simplify and evaluate expressions with exponents.

   Simplify, add, subtract and multiply polynomials.

   Solve word problems involving exponential expressions.

   Simplify expressions and evaluate algebraic expressions.

   Solve equations through simplifying and transforming (or balancing) equations.

   Read and interpret word problems.

   Organize information in a word problem using charts, diagrams and “let” statements.
