Learning Objectives:    

   Simplify rational expressions using rules of exponents.

   Identify the greatest common factor among algebraic expressions.

   Factor polynomials completely.

   Solve quadratic equations by factoring.

   Solve word problems which use quadratic equations.

   Identify numerical and algebraic factors.

   Multiply polynomials.

   Read and interpret word problems.

   Organize information in a word problem using charts, diagrams and “let” statements.
