Learning Objectives:    

   Solve basic through multi-step equations, including variables on both sides.

   Solve word problems by writing and solving algebraic equations.  

   Identify equations which have “no solution” or “infinitely many solutions.”

Skills:  

   Simplify expressions and evaluate algebraic expressions.

   Solve equations through simplifying and transforming (or balancing) equations.

   Read and interpret word problems.

   Organize information in a word problem using charts, diagrams and “let” statements.
