  • How can I present myself to my present and future teachers and parents, while evaluating the type of student I have been for the past three years?

 

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Students will become familiar with Microsoft FrontPage
  • Students will be able to identify the basic elements of a Web site (e.g. URL, hyperlinks, site map, navigation bars etc.)
  • Students will be able to practice creativity and organization when building their individual web sites.
  • Students will be able to recognize the important components of building any web site (content, purpose, authenticity and organization)
  • Students will have the opportunity to reflect on and display various pieces of their work done in middle school. 
  • Students will be able to improve on their writing skills while explaining their work and presenting self-evaluations.
  • Student will learn the basics of the fair use rule of copyright laws and the purpose of citations, while they search the Internet for pictures.

  • Handout with the guidelines to making a web page and the things to consider while making it.
  • Presenting on-screen, using the LCD Projector, the various steps to the making an academic web site.
  • Oral instructions and reminders on the process and requirements for making their web sites.
  • A self-evaluation and check-list at the end of the project, to review the work done, and double check the requirements of the project.
