Welcome to Mrs. Hurley's Web Site!

This year we will be exploring the exciting topics of life science.   We will begin the year with a refresher of the metric system and scientific method.  Then we will move on to study taxonomy, biodiversity and ecology.  After a unit on cell biology, we will launch into a 12 week study of the human body.  After studying humans, we will study a variety of other organisms.  From here we will continue our study of cells and microbiology.  While studying the different types of cells, we will learn how cells reproduce and obtain and use energy.  We will then move into genetics and evolution.

Extra Help Opportunities

I will hold extra help sessions on Mondays & Thursdays from 2:30 pm until 3:15 pm.  If you cannot make it on these days please be sure to let me know and in most cases I can make arrangements with you for an alternate time.
