Wilderness Survival Project

You each will be given a location where you will be asked to travel. Where ever you go you need to plan on being there during the fall. This of course depends on which side of the hemisphere you are on, and in some instances this may really not matter. You are going on an extensive backpacking trip in this area. You will be there at least a week and you need to plan the following.

·        Research the area and tell us where it is and what type of topography and climate it has.

·        What will you bring: Yes exactly what you will bring! This means for sleeping, eating, safety, communication, and support, ect…….

·        You need to discuss the area in which you will explore on your trip and why?

·        A daily agenda for what you will do each of the seven days and what you need for each day..

·        What type of problems you are taking into consideration?

·        What agencies are around the area to help in case you get into trouble?

You may answer these questions in a bulleted format with each area being explained in detail (i.e.) a day 1-7 agenda, a list of agencies that can help you if you are lost.  Ect, Ect Ect…

In order to find your location please use the web and the library. If you have any problems please feel free to email me at lucile@doversherborn.org for help.

 Due Date: Thursday November 2nd
