Your first human rights article is due soon. Please refer to these directions for this assignment and all subsequent ones. The work you hand in should include:

1) Proper heading (at top of page, either flush left or right, and single spaced) that includes information given in the following model:

Then, below your heading, center an appropriate title.

2) Proper bibliographical information for chosen article—this information should be at the top of your paper, prior to the written portion described below. (See the D-S Social Studies website and/or library site for information on how to properly cite bibliographical information—this portion should also be single spaced.)

3) A summary of the main points of the article (not to exceed a page)

4) An examination of how the article connects with human rights (and your particular theme if you have one).

5) A conclusion that identifies dilemmas presented by the news story, as well as your own opinions, evaluation, or questions in response to the article.

6) A copy of the article itself should be attached to your written response.
