Algebra II Honors Topics for Quiz 12.1-12.2
You are ready for Quiz 12.1-12.2 if you can do the following types of problems:
¨ Determine if a point is a solution to a system. ¨ Algebraically determine the solutions to a two-equation or three equation system via substitution and/or elimination. ¨ Correctly describe the solution set to a dependent system. ¨ Without any algebraic work, determine is a system is inconsistent (no solution, parallel lines) or dependent (infinite number of solutions, overlapping lines). ¨ Use your graphing calculator to solve a system of equations. ¨ Solve a word problem by assigning variables (two or three), creating the equations of the system, and solving. ¨ Determine the equation of a quadratic given three points on the parabola.
