Pre-Calculus!!!!

Important Information about Mr. Amber's Class!!

TI-83 and TI-84 Help Guide

Listed below are the homework assignments for the appropriate months.

***Parent's and Students***

Please keep these things in mind:

1.  Stay on task in class as we move fairly quickly

2.  Do your homework!!!!!  I don't give huge assignments that should take you too long...but each and every problem I assign will be important for your understanding of the material.

3.  Keep your notes organized and review them most days even if there is not an assessment coming up (even if it's a quick 5 minute review)

4.  Make use of my extra help sessions.  This is the best place to come if you have particular questions but come even if it's only to do your homework so you can ask questions as you go.  This is also a good place for me to get a better sense of your needs working one on one.

5.  If you need even more help, make use of tutors.  The National Honor Society often sets up students with NHS tutors during DR's.  If that doesn't work try to find a private tutor if that's possible.  The important point would be not to wait to long into the year when you are getting overwhelmed!

***I am going to allow each student to make up 1 assessment each term.  My goal as a teacher is for my students to do the best they can while working hard.  Because I am doing this mainly for the student who is caught off guard for any number of reasons and scores really low...the highest makeup grade allowed will be an 80%.  Also any student wanting to take advantage of this will need to do so within a week of the return of their quiz/test and ONLY during my extra help time on Monday or Wednesday from 2:15-3:15.

Print out the homework pages for the current chapter and bring the packet to class everyday (or bring your book if you choose).  Students without their materials will receive a zero for the day.....
